About us

Michelle Lyons, MSc

I've always been fascinated by the connection between what we eat and how we feel, move, and perform. That curiosity grew throughout my years studying sport and exercise science, and it became a passion during my MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. I realised how many people, athletes, performers, and everyday individuals, were pushing their bodies to the limit without truly understanding how to fuel themselves. I recognised myself in many of them.

My own journey hasn't been a straight line. I've balanced work, study, personal challenges, and significant life changes, all while maintaining my health. I understand how it feels to be exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. That lived experience shapes the way I support others: with empathy, realism, and zero judgment. I know that behind every goal is a person with a story, responsibilities, fears, hopes, and so much potential.

What drew me to performance nutrition is the magic that happens when someone finally feels energised, confident, and capable. When things click into place, not because they've been "perfect," but because they've had guidance that respects who they are and what they dream of doing.

Through Ithaca Nutrition, I aim to offer that kind of support. I combine evidence-informed practice with a humanistic coaching style, focusing on clarity, compassion, and genuinely listening. Whether someone is preparing for a demanding production schedule, training for a goal, or simply wanting to feel more like themselves again, I walk alongside them, helping them build sustainable habits that work in the real world.

My philosophy is simple: nutrition should empower, not overwhelm. And every person deserves support that honours their experience, their ambitions, and their humanity.
